I’ve been pronouncing it wrong the whole time...
I’ve been saying it as “SIE-ril” when it’s actually “SIR-uhl”. Those cereal comments make a lot more sense now, and I don’t think I like Cyril now as much as I initially did.

I've been pronouncing it that way too, and I'll continue to do so lol, my sister's classmate was named Cyril and pronounced it that way so w/eIt doesn't make sense that we pronounce Cyril and Cyrus differently when they both come from Greek and are both technically wrong (should be a hard K sound)

I thought it was either SIE-ril or SEER-ul. SEER-ul would make more sense with the cereal comments.

The pronunciation I’ve heard most is actually “SEER-ul”. Like Cyril Sneer, the bad guy from the Raccoons cartoon, or Cyril Figgis from Archer.
