Re: Elisha and Elijah

They seem totally religious to me, though only in origin: Elijah and Elisha were just prophets, not so much foretelling events as ticking their people off for bad behaviour. I just see grumpy old men with long beards, in flowing robes and sandals, shaking their fists at imaginary opponents as they stomped through the desert. And it's not an image I favour at all. But if it works for anyone else, be they religious or not, then no doubt they will go for it and their son(s) will grow up happily with his name until he hits the age when no name is good enough; and in a year or two the dust will settle and it will once again become a name he's happy to have. Or not ... in which case I hope he's got a very different mn to fall back on.
