Oleander

I really like Oleander as a middle name. I know a horse named Oleander (Ollie).
I pronounce the a in Calix like the a in cat.
I like Calix too. Antonio is cool but I guess I never realized it was floral. I knew the word anther / anthos... huh.
I've met a couple Jaceks.
I like Hyacinthus and Hyacinth(e) too. Also Gentian.

I love Oleander. One of my favourite books was White Oleander
I like it a lot! It's handsome without being hypermasculine.
It makes me think of White Oleander, the novel in which a woman uses Oleander to kill her boyfriend. I know Oleander has been used for poison for a long time. Thus it doesn't seem like a name anyone should have to be saddled with unless that person is an assassin, lol.
Oleander isn’t my style - it just looks like an attempt at a more creative Alexander. It’s leagues better than Ollivander, though. I prefer Leander, even if that’s not my type either.
I pronounce Calix as “cay-lix”. I like how it looks but I don’t really like the name itself, though it’s better than Chalice.
Rosen is better suited as a last name.
No opinion on Jacek.

Love! I think of the beautiful book White Oleander. Uncommon boys names are the best.
Oleander - mildly amusing: sounds like Oh, Leander! Pretty, fragrant, toxic ... not my style at all.
Calix - Caylix. Not even slightly name-like. OK it's botanical, but so is Stalk.
Rosen seems incomplete, maybe in need of a surname ending: Rosenkowitz, or even Rosencrantz
Jacek - all the Jaceks I've known have gone by Jack, so whoever named them need not have bothered.
Antonio - oh dear, so people are still falling for that false etymology.

It's one of my fav boys names that I'll probably never use. I love the sound and I like nature names. Also the -ander ending gives it sufficient name vibes that it isn't weird to use I think.
Oleander is very very poisonous so I can’t imagine using it for a child.
Calix I would pronounce with a short ‘a’ as in ‘cat’. It’s ok I guess.
Rosen is too surnamey for me.
Jacek is ok but there’s other versions I like better.
The meaning of Anthony is disputed so I wouldn’t count Antonio as a floral name.

I only like Antonio from the list. Oleander is a poisonous plant
Oleander is, I think, the nicest of that list. I have previously thought about Leander as a middle name and I knew a little boy called Orlando so this is like a mix of both but with a nicer association.
Calix has Jaxon Braxon vibes and I don't like it. Also hate Antonio, all the ant- names I don't like cause its too insecty
Rosen is interesting and I think it would easily pass as a boys name.
