I know loads of young Amy’s (except they are sometimes spelt Amie or Aimee) and I feels quite modern to me. Maybe it’s because I live in the UK and it’s still quite popular here. It was also the name of my great grandmother who was born when it wasn’t so popular. I feel that it was more weird on her than it is on the younger generation now.
