I'm likely to be in the minority here but I quite enjoy Alexavier. I think it sounds cool and I like that it's different yet reminiscent of two well known names. Names that I already like and blended them together seems like a fine idea to me. It's one of my guilty pleasure names. (:

Why not just name the kid Al Xavier?

I think it's a tacky mashup, it sounds a bit like "Alec's saviour".

Well, as mashups go, it trips off the tongue. You could use it if you like Alex as a nickname but think Alexander is too popular. I don't hate it.

I saw the name "Xander" on this message board a few days ago and thought "but Xavier is so much better!" This reminds me of that.
