Celeste?
Are you fond of the name Celeste?I actually quite like it, especially the "este" sound..."We keep moving forward, opening new doors and doing things because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." - Walt Disney

It's among my most-liked names for a girl. I love the fact that it makes me think of the sky on a clear night, away from city lights.

It’s nice, but...(m)I prefer Celestia, Celestina, and Celestine.

The wife of Babar, the King of the Elephants, and the name my friend insisted on giving to the family's new kitten when we were about six and loving the stories. The cat was mostly known as Kitty. Also the name of a former colleague, who loathed it, found it horribly sentimental, queried her parents' judgement, and particularly hated the meaning.Granted, it's way better than Nevaeh.

I loved Babar!

Yeah, I thought of the wife of Babar also, but forgot to mention it.

No, I don’t care for Celeste nor any of the other similar type names like Celine, Cecile, Cecilia, Cecily, etc.

Beautiful!

It's pretty and uncommon without being weird. Objectively, I like it a lot. In reality, it reminds me of the cheap Celeste brand individual pizzas I used to love as a kid.

I love the name Celeste. It's so magical and I like the way it sounds.

I used to really like Celeste - especially the way it looked written out - but ever since someone told me it reminded them of the word "molest" I have (unfortunately) not been able to shake the association. :-(

Oh, I adore Celeste.

I'm very fond of it, and when I was younger I wrote a story where that was the main characters' name and she was magical.

I’ve always liked Celeste and would use it as a middle name in a heartbeat. So soft and ethereal.

I don't mind it.

It's okay.

I think it’s soft and lovely, and I’d definitely use it. The only issue I could see Is that it rhymes with “molest”, which bullies could latch on to. I think that’s a fairly minor consideration, though.

I think it's quite nice. It's delicate, ethereal, and pretty, and I love the stellar meaning behind it.

I like it! I especially like the soft C, which makes the name seem very warm and friendly.

I had a high school friend named Celeste. Unusual name. not in the sense of being unheard of, but in the sense of not being commonly used. She was given the name because it was her mother's name. They were both named Celeste and called Celeste. Also unusual in this day and age.I've never been a fan of it. It makes me think of celery.

I really like names like Celeste, Nova, Luna, etc., but a certain person I met that used this site ruined the name for me, as well as an ex-girlfriend names Celeste that ruined it. Honestly, had I never met either of them, I'm probably still like and probably use the name.

It's a shame that some people kind of ruined the name for you.
