I prefer Nora. I really love it! It’s been a bit overused lately, so I wouldn’t use it but it’s definitely very nice.

I like Nora well enough, though I prefer Eleanor (for the -nor) and Laura (for the sound). So I'd never use it. I can't see the point of sticking an -h on, but then I've seen more nightmareish ones like Diannah, Victoriah and no doubt others that I've forgotten. What makes those, and Norah, bad is that the -h makes no difference to the pronunciation so it's purely ornamental or intended to be. And that doesn't work for me at all. At least Mariah waves a flag and says "Pronounce me the old-fashioned way, because I'm so trendy!"

Nora is quite popular in Denmark for kids. I find it absolutely lovely. To me, it has a very warm, earthy feeling.

I really like Nora. I prefer Nora over Norah.
I'm plannimg on using it if we decide to have another child. If DH wouldnt like it, i could see using Eleanor or Elinor as a full name and Nora as a nickname.

I used to find it a very dated name, even when I went to high school with a Nora (2000s). I still vastly prefer Eleanor and am not even that fond of Nora as a nickname, even though I like names with similar endings (Laura, Theodora, etc.). I guess I see the appeal for others, but it rubs me the wrong way. That said, I don't know why anyone would want to Sarah-fy Nora, so I really dislike the H spelling.

I like it, though on a child I’d probably use Eleonora.
