I like it very much; when our daughter was born, she had long red hair like DH's cousin Penelope (known as Penny) and I suggested naming her Penelope as well. I'd overlooked the fact that the cousins didn't get along and never had. So, no luck there. I also like Nell as a nn - it seems to need the extra -l.
