Lucinda
I was just reminded of how much I loved this name as a teenager. Do you like Lucinda?

I honestly don't care for it. I think it sounds cheap, dated and brings to mind a woman with a very loud, boisterous personality who often says things without a filter and wears gaudy jewelry and accessories and chainsmokes.

Yes. It's more mature (and less common) than Lucy, yet you have that 'cute' nn to fall back on of you want to.

It feels very dated and I Don’t really like most -inda names but I don’t think it’s awful either.

I prefer Lucy. Cindy is a name I used for a cat, and perhaps that influences me. I don't think Lucy needs a 'long' form, though Cindy certainly does, but if I had to pick a long form of Lucy, then I'd go for Lucinda rather than Lucia with all its pronunciations.

I went through a stage of really liking it. Now, I'd be happy to hear it on someone else's kid, but I wouldn't use it for one of my own. I think the possibility of Cindy as a nickname scares me. Lucy's not a favorite either, but Cindy is just no.

Looks rather dated to me because of its similarity to Melinda. I prefer Lucia.

I know a couple Lucinda's and none of them match my mental image of the name. I picture a tall, sleek, blonde woman wearing slinky black dresses and conning men out of their wallets. I like the name a lot. It has a lot of fire in it.
