Fox sounds like it's trying really hard to be both posh (aristocratic surname) and "sexy" (he's such a fox). Way too on-the-nose for me. Hate it.
Besides, it sounds too much like f*cks.Primrose - I don't like the prim part. It's prim.
Wolf - kind of smelly and threatening, but I could forget that if it's a guy's name. I picture Wolfman Jack.
Meadow - this is okay. Very hippie but basically nice
Olive - I like it. Understated and nice symbolism
Maple - I like the idea of a tree name but I think Maple sounds ugly.
Hazel - Eh. I just don't like the sounds in it. It sounds cross to me
Bear - I like it as a nickname. I went to high school with a guy who was called Bear. It suited him - he was physically big and strong. It could be a little droll as the name of a light or slender person?

It’s pretty much the same as Bear: a pointless animal name that can only really be looked at as a nickname for a cunning guy. Why not use Renard or Todd? Plus, all of these middle names are laughable. Fox Olive? Fox Meadow? Yeah, I’ll pass, they’re way too hippie.

Primrose - Prim is not the most sought-after nn, and Primrose reminds me of the only one I've ever heard of, wife of a UK doctor who systematically murdered his patients, stole their jewellery and gave it to Wife Primrose, who wore it without question.
Wolf - Hitler's self-chosen nn. He was known to children as Onkel Wolf.
Meadow - silly rather than distasteful; better than Barnyard.
Olive - pretty colour, nice fruit and oil, pity about Popeye. Far prefer Olivia.
Maple - no context; sounds almost like Mabel, which I greatly prefer
Hazel - My friend named a dog Hazel 'because she's a nut'. Enough said!
Bear - tries so hard to be impressive, but is really so pretentious that it falls flat on its nose, or muzzle.ETA: Sorry! Left out Fox. Well, rather Fox than Weasel or Jackal if we're just looking at animals. And it's a lnfn, which many people like much better than I do. But then there's the TV network, which puts me right off.

Yeah so these are my kind of names! I love nature names. I also love old grandparent names, but nature names are quirky and different and I like that. Fox and Bear are cute, but I prefer both for mns.
Wolf I actually really like, especially with the nn Wolfie. It’s so strong and punchy to me.
Primrose has fast become a fave of mine over the course of this year. Rosie is a cute nn and I love the meaning of Primrose.
Meadow is sweet and country, but in a good way. It evokes a nice image for me.
Olive has really grown on me too, I actually love it now. It helps that I love the colour olive.
Maple and Hazel are both so lovely and pretty. Unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to use Hazel, as DH has an aunt with this name. Maple is just sweet and cute, but I could see it on an adult.Primrose, Meadow, Olive and Maple are all names I would consider should I have another DD in the future.
