My grandmother's name is Cecelia and is most often called Celia. I like it.

I don't care for the name Cecilia because of Ashlee Simpson's character on 7th Heaven.

Cecilia and Celiaare both beautiful names.Cecilia is the only correct spelling to me. Cecilia is a classic and international name, used in Sweden but not too popular.Celia is not as well known in Sweden but I like it b/c of the Shakespeare association."But it’s all right now.

I love Cecilia and Celia, never Cecelia. It just looks "wrong" to me. :-/ Along the same lines, I also love Cecily and Celeste. :b

I like Cecilia. I just like Celia better and I don't care for the Cecelia spelling much.

I ought to like it. I love Celia, Cordelia and Ophelia. But for some reason Cecilia's always sounded a bit wrong to me. Perhaps it's that the first two syllables are almost the same - "seh-see" - then the 3rd one rhymes with the 2nd. It's not free-flowing enough. Sorry if I make no sense ... That's the only way I can describe it!_____________________________________________________________________Elinor

Beautiful name! This is my niece's name and she is a beautiful girl. Cecilia Gabrielle is her name.:)

It's terrificthough I admit I kinda like Cecelia, because the American pronunciation (at least where I am) makes the second syllable a long E, sehSEELya, so that spelling just looks better to me. I know some people don't care for this name just because of the blindness thing, but I think that's silly. I also really love Claudia, even more in fact than Cecilia; but some people object to Claudia because it means "lame." I think Cecilia and Claudia would make a great sibset or even twin set. Blind and lame together!~Lillian~

I've always lumped the two names together, too, until recently. LOL. (I knew a Claudia that is now a recovering alcoholic, so I mostly think of her when I hear the name now.) Add in Cameron with his "crooked nose" and you've got a real interesting set right there! :b

I love Cecilia. It's one of my favorites. The spelling Cecelia doesn't do much for me and neither does the name Celia. I like Cecily though.

Cecilia is one of my faves. I don't like Cecelia at all...just looks like a typo. Celia is nice, but I still like Cecilia much much more. I wouldn't use a nn but if I did it would be Lia.
