I also like this name, it just sounds pleasant.And while I was raised Christian and therefore also have some negative connotations with it, I was also always taught not to condemn him as evil as it was all part of the plan. So I see him as a way more ambiguous character than some other historical figures (you know who I'm thinking of) whose names are now ruined. And frankly several whose names are oddly enough not ruined.
So honestly I think this name doesn't deserve this fate. But I still would only consider using it if I was an insanely wealthy celebrity who could shield my kid from negative experiences using my influence and money.

I definitely agree! I was raised similarly, so I get your point of view. Though, I think naming a child Adolf would be arguably worse than naming him Judas.
