Lucia Marisol and Sebastian Piers are swoon worthy.. absolutely gorgeous.I actually don't mind Vittorio Genghis, not a huge fan of Lozen.

I’m going to add one I also heard...Chloë Sevigny had a son called Vanja.

Lucia Marisol is charming. The names are recognisable, but not overtly popular, and I like the double light meaning. It's a very sunny combo.I like Victorio, it has an admirable namesake and sounds very strong, but Genghis is ridiculous. He wasn't exactly the kind of chap you'd want to name your child after, and I can't help but think of "I get a little bit Genghis Khan". Lozen Orianna sounds like cough medication, but Judith is definitely due for a comeback.

Adding anotherHope Solo's former teammate on the US Women's National Soccer Team, Alex Morgan, and her husband, Servando Carrasco, also a professional soccer player, recently welcomed their daughter Charlie Elena.

Ugh... why not Charlotte, NICKNAMED Charlie???sorry, I'm just sick and tired of this trend of using nicknames as full names. If you wanted the nickname, just give her the full name ACCOMPANIED BY the nickname? Like, instead of Ellie, name her Eleanor and use Ellie as a nickname (until she decides otherwise, ofc lol)!

AgreeI don’t see the logic either. It gives more options to the person who has to wear the name. Besides that Charlotte Elena is a beautiful combo.

idk some nicknames have a life of their own. Like Jim / Jimmy from James I can see being an entirely separate entity just like Harry from Harold and Henry. Also Max, Bill / Billy, Alex, Ben, Cindy, Eliza, Fred, Harry, Joe / Joey etc all stand on their own I think. Unfortunately I don't like Charles, but love Charlie for a boy (though I would never use it because I'm a Charlotte and I'd feel like I'm naming the kid after myself even though I don't ever go by Charlie myself) It just has a completely different feel; Charles sounds snobbish while Charlie sounds friendly. Others such as Theo and Ollie I don't think stand on their own, personally, and for those I'd agree with you.

I think it's cool and should be appreciated more that English allows for all options: just the name on its own, a name + nickname, and just the nickname as a legal name. Some people may like long names and the nicknames they come with and some people may want to name their child the thing they will actually call them. And I can relate to all of these choices.

I agree

I agree with some names, but not in this case. Charlie has a totally different aesthetic than Charlotte, so it's easy to see how someone could like Charlie and not like Charlotte. Same with Ellie and Eleanor -- but I think Ellie and Ella are similar enough that if you want to call your kid Ellie you might as well name her Ella.
