I don't care for the name. I do think Alphonse is the nicest of the options listed. I like the potential of the nickname Alfie / Alphie.

It’s completely unusable to me, since Alfons means pimp in Danish.

Of those spellings, I like Alphonse the best. If spelling doesn't matter, I prefer Alphonzo or Alonzo.

Alphonse definitely makes me think of Alphonse Elric.
I like Alonso and maybe Afonso, but some of the variants with "Alf" or "Alph" sound... silly maybe? "Alf" on its own sounds like a silly dog name, so that's how I view the whole name. .
I think Alphonsus looks stuffy and overimportant.
