New Celeb Babies!
Didn't see this posted so...Shaquille O'Neal and his wife Shaunie Nelson just had a baby girl: Me'Arah Sanaa O'Neal. Their other children are Shareef (6), Shaqir (3), and daughter Amirah (2), plus two children from previous relationships, Shaq's daughter Taahira (9) and Shaunie's son Myles (8).
Then, Kobe Bryant and wife Vanessa just had their own little girl (same day as Shaq! lol), Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant. They also have a 3 y.o daughter Natalia.
I think Kobe and Vanessa do a great job picking out names together... and Shaunie WAS on the right track, then got a little weird and then there was Amirah and now even more crazy adding an apostrophe! They were doing so well!

I don't see anything wrong with Shaquille's childrens' names (except the newest one)...they are Arabic names, not made up, although he didn't use the best transliterations. I would have gone with Tahira, Sharif, Shakir, and Amira personally, rather than his spellings, but they are still nice names with nice meanings.

Weird... I actually know a little girl named Me'Arah, but hers is spelt Meara.

Wow, well at least the name Myles is nice. :-/ The others make me almost yearn for Apple and Pilot Inspektor, though.

Very Italian....but they're not Italian, right? (maybe his wife is part Italian? I'm hoping)

Well according to IMDb.com...(m)Vanessa is apparently half-Italian, half-Puerto Rican, and Kobe spent eight years in Italy during childhood and is fluent in Italian.

That is SO cool. Aside from the fact I'm not a Kobe fan but, whatever.

No, I think she's half Latina (Mexican, Puerto Rican, Venezuelan - I really have no idea)... but even if she wasn't, what's wrong with her using Gianna?I don't look at all Italian and I love that name and would use it myself. People who aren't Irish use Irish names all the time, so Italian names should be fair game as well.

I'm weird about things like that, I suppose. If it were just Gianna and the person wasn't Italian/Spanish at all, then that's "ok" to me. But once you start adding in Natalia, Vicente, Eduardo, etc. That would be weird to me. Guess it's just me, lol. :b

Gianna & Natalia make a lovely sister set imo, despite the fact that Gianna isn't really my style. I love Maria though! The other names are all nmsaa.
