I like them both but more as nicknames, though Maggie I think can stand on it's own a little more. Definitely don't like them together, too matchy.

I love Maggie as a nn. Aggie is a bit harder to swallow, but I'm inclined to say I like it too. It's definitely harsh but gutsy and it could be cute on the right person. I really do like Agnes.

But for real, the "aggie" sound (or really the "ag" sound) has never, ever appealed to me. I'm also not fond of Margaret, Agnes, or Agatha. Sorry.

Don't like Aggie, Maggie is ok

Aggie is sometimes used here as a slant term for argumentative or aggressive eg "Urgh he's so aggy." OR more commonly heard "My mum was aggy with me yesterday".

I also don't like Maggie because it just makes me think of Maggie Thatcher. Aside from her, it sounds softer than Aggie does, and feels more youthful. If I was a Margaret I'd probably be a Meg or Mags.

Aggie I don’t like that much. There is a type of irrigation pipe called “Agi pipe”, so it always makes me think of that! Maggie on the other hand, is adorable! I’ve always loved it.
