Kady
What do you think of the (nick)name Kady?
Starting with a C or K?
Kadence is full the name. It reminds me of music and the sound of waves crashing on the shore.

I prefer Cadence with a C, NN Cady, both names are ok
Kady on its own is terrible. Just a trendy, insubstantial collection of sounds with no real meaning of its own. Just Cady is only slightly better. Cadence nn Cady is okay. Not my style as I like names with a bit more history, but not the worst.
Cady as a nickname for Leocadia, however, would put stars in my eyes.

Arcadia would be another one
I love your suggestion! Thanks!
I think it's awful. I don't like Cadence in the first place, it seems so random and un-name-like. Cady just sounds and looks like a misspelled Katie, and I cannot stand the name Katie because it makes me think of a fat, chipmunk-cheeked giggling idiot of a girl who grows up into a fat, chipmunk-cheeked, giggling idiot of a woman. Ugh.
What is the purpose of misspelling a word?
Cadence “Cady” is absolutely fine, it doesn’t appeal to me personally but it’s not to be sniffed at, really. Catherine “Cady” could also be nice.

I’ve only seen Kady spelled with a K, so my first instinct to write it that way.
Thanks for the suggestion to use it as nickname for Catherine!
