Valerie

I love it, very pretty! I have for a long time, too - Valerie was the name of a babysitter I had growing up who I really liked.
I like, not love it.
I like it a lot. I went to one school with 3 Valeries in my grade so 3 out of about 40 students.
It appears that I'm in the minority. I absolutely don't care for it. I hate the sound of and I don't have very good personal associations with it. The name just conjures up too many bad memories and negative emotions. I avoid the name as much as I possibly can.

I don’t find it dated.
I quite like it, though lots of names come before it on my Favorite V Names.

It's my daught'ers name. She's fourteen now.
It's never really been out of style, and you can find Valeries of all ages and races. It's almost always spelled the same way and pronounced the same way, and you always know it's a girl's name. And it isn't wildly popular even though it's very familiar. Don't see any drawbacks. :)

It's okay, but low on my list of "Girls' Names Which Start With a V Which I Like."
It's definitely a bit dated, but I've always thought it's such a pretty name. I can see it on both a child and an adult.
