Peter
Wdyt of Peter? I love the sound and feel but don't like that it's Biblical. I stay away from religious stuff.

It’s fine. The youngest one I know is 23/24, the others are a lot older like 50s-70s. It makes a good middle name if honouring. Funnily enough I don’t really associate it with the Bible (whereas Paul I do and I hate that name).

I agree it is classic enough that it doesn't have a strongly Biblical/religious feel, not like Ezekiel or something of that kind.
However, I don't personally like the sound of it and definitely associate it with penis and "peter out."

I like the feel, but I don't really like the sound, unfortunately. I like the "feel" enough for it to be one of my favorite names. I think it just feels SO SMART, and it goes well in combos. I guess I would rather it be a middle name?I don't mind that it's biblical. Shrug.

I really like it and would consider using it. There are enough associations that people would not strictly connect it with the Bible. There is Peter Parker (Spiderman), Peter the Great, Peter Pan, Peter Pevensie in Narnia, and so many others.

In my area it is slang for “penis”. 100% would never use.

Its great, it definitely deserves a comeback. I would consider using it but my husband doesn’t like it.

I love it. I would use it if it didn't completely clash with my last name.I think it's underused, friendly, and adorable.

I am totally irreligious, and named my son Peter without hesitation. I told him that his name means Rock, which he happily took to be a musical reference! He's as much an atheist as I am, he's always liked his name, and nobody has ever assumed that he got it for reasons connected to religion.

I like it. I briefly considered it as a middle name for one of my sons, as an honoring name, as it’s my grandfather’s name. He’s a nice guy, but we’ve never been particularly close, so I nixed the idea in favor of an honoring name of a family member we’re much closer to.
I’m religious, so that part doesn’t bother me at all.
I think Pete the cat books have actually made me like the nickname Pete. I used to hate it, now I think it’s cute.

It's been so common that I don't think the religious association's strong.I used to strongly dislike it, because of Peter Pan complex and Peter Pettigrew and petering out.But there's also Spiderman and Quicksilver, and I like Pete, plus I think Peter makes a nice middle name sometimes.
