Yeah, it's a good one.
There was a little girl Alison in my kids' preschool (she'd be about twelve now). Her brother was George.
Slightly older than average parents who were not American-born.
I don't like Alice or Allison. But Alison, which was still pretty "new" in the US when I was a kid, like Jennifer and Jessica and Michelle and Nicole and Renee, has become a solid and fairly timeless seeming name. Even more so than those others.
Which names did you agree were stupid? I'm curious if you want to tell.
