Re: River
Eeep, yes, it does. It's similar to Parker. River Parker would sound dumb. Rivers Parker wouldn't sound as dumb, I don't think.

Rivers Parker is a little tongue-twistery to me, but I think Rivers as a middle name would make sense. The middle name and last name don't really have to flow together.

You know, I don't think it sounds so dumb. But, I'm a person who tends to like unusual sounding combos, and names.I'm still rooting for Wilder, BTW.

Oh, that's a good point. I don't think River would sound good with your last name. Saying the 2 out loud together, it not only sounds repetitive, but it also sounds like a phrase.

As long as it isn't a transport or nature er word. River Wilder would be terrible. So would Rivers Walker, unless he can, you know, walk on water.
Someone not too long ago told me their grandfather had been a harbor pilot, meaning he guided the big ships into the harbor from a tugboat. I thought "Some dumbo somewhere has probably named their kid Harbor Pilot. Probably not even knowing it's an actual job description."
