My friend's mother was one of the first Dawn people I know about. She hated it, thought it was horribly sentimental, and named her own daughters Philippa (Pippa), Sally and Lindsey.

Boring and outdated. Something I would never use.

It's my granddaughter's name. I was disappointed but yes I call her Dawn.

I think it's a beautiful name and wouldn't have minded having it for myself.

I struggle to find anything appealing in Dawn apart from the "new day" meaning. It looks plain, it's short but without any spunk and yet it sounds drawn-out right from the beginning, plus it literally rhymes with "yawn".

I don't like it and it will still take years for Dawn to feel fresh and new again.
