WDYT of Cornelia? Any middle name suggestions?

It’s okay, pretty but I’m not so keen on the ‘corn’ beginning. I prefer Cordelia which is beautiful.

I like it a lot - I enjoy it's Ancient Roman roots, and it reminds me of cornucopias. It feels very classic and ornamental, but more quiet and subdued than Cordelia.

I think of beehive hairstyles for some reason. I associate it with Claudia, maybe? Also Aurelia, Septima, and cornucopias.
It seems dignified, retro, low-key, but at the same time, somewhat poofy and kind of an oddball. I like it but don't love it.

I really like it and I think it works well on a living person. Cornie is not a good nickname. Cor is fine. Corrie is fine. I know a Cornelia "Connie" but I don't think anyone ever calls her Cornelia.

Cornelia Linnea (I like the remix of sounds)

That is my niece's name. She's 14. It's okay. They call her Nela.
I think it's ugly. It sounds like something hard and scaly growing on your feet.
do you remember ...
Mister Roger's Neighborhood of Make-Believe, where one puppet was called Corny? His name was Cornflake S. Peshally.

Cordelia reminds me of bloody umbilical cords.
You have both summarised why I cannot bring myself to like either Cordelia or Cornelia.
I did know a Cornelia, she was (well, is) an academic and a really lovely lady. You sort of get past the corn when it’s a real person, but I still can’t make myself like the name.
I think Nell would be a sweet nickname though.

I've recently taken a liking to Cornelia. I think it might be because of the Taylor Swift song "Cornelia Street". It has an understated beauty to it. However, I do think people where I live would be like, "You named your child WHAT?!" Zero babies were named Cornelia in at least the past five years here.
