I actually really like Charlize, but the name itself doesn't seem to be used much outside of South Africa - and, of course, it's inextricably tied to Charlize Theron. Not that she's a bad association, it'll just look like you named your kid after her.

I actually kind of like it. I always though it was a combination of Charlene and Lize before I found out it was Afrikaans.

It’s grown on me a lot...I like the pronunciation shar-leez the best.

I dislike Charlotte intensely, and Charlize almost as much. I quite like Charlene though - well, I am South African!
