I don't like it. OK, I don't like April, May and June either! But Augusta has that forbidding sense of the august about it that means I find it hard to imagine an Augusta who isn't severe, and severely corseted. Like Aunt Alexandra in TKAM, only more so.
Same with August and Augustus as male names.
The follow-up, therefore: in the first Rivers of London book there is a short-lived minor character who is a young woman, Danish and named August. Is this likely IRL, or is it a convincing fantasy on a par with a Nigerian nurse becoming the Goddess of the Thames?
