Kalanchoe
This is one of my favourite plants, I have several, and sometimes I think it could make a fun, out-there name. It’s pronounced as kal-un-KOH-ee. What do you think?

It has an unintuitive pronunciation and looks a bit ridiculous.
Out of curiosity, what is your first language? I think the pronunciation is very intuitive, as an English speaker.
I have thought about Kalanchoe since I heard it used in a song. It does have a charming quality to it, like it's an ancient greek name or something.
I collect interesting flower names in case I want to use them for characters, but I can't pinpoint what gender I'd want a Kalanchoe to be...seems very unisex to me.

I think it seems very unisex too. I’d probably lean towards feminine, due to the similarity with Chloe.
I looked up the name in my database and it has never been recorded on ssa.gov. A truly unique name! I think a name should be something that is important to you. It should mean something. If it is your favorite plant, then I say, why not? It sounds pretty cool.
Interesting that it has never been recorded on the SSA before!
