I met a teenager named it (no nickname) in the 00s, and mainly it seemed awkward...like, Bedivere is cool, too, but awkward...though to be fair, when I was a kid, my family had a horse Guinevere, so that might have been my hangup. Maybe I just needed to get used to it...but maybe not, because being fantastical would be part of its appeal.Gwen is warm and one of my all-time favorite names, and I think the *vere sound is majestic, so Guinevere "Gwen" is lovely.
