I think I've fallen in love with Alfreda. I know it's a bit awkward to pronounce--I tend to pronounce it "al-FREE-da"--but I'm charmed by its cluster of consonants and its sumptuous stuffiness. I also love the nickname options: Alfy, Freda, Fredi, Edie, etc. Alfre ("AL-free"), like Alfre Woodard, is currently my nickname of choice.

I love it! Clunky names are so cute and charming. Alfreda is ready for a comeback!

My favorite combos are Alfreda Plum, Alfreda Thisbe, Alfreda Marigold, and Alfreda Clementine. A quirky middle name helps balance the combo in my opinion.

I appreciate it but I don't like it. I pronounce it Al-fray-da, which kind of sounds like "afraid." I think stuffy was definitely the correct word for it. I'm not fond of any nickname options I can think of for it.

I like Alfreda Betony, Alfreda Cecily, Alfreda Charlotte, Alfreda Constance, and Alfreda Sibyl.
