Scarlette
What do you think of this spelling and name? I went to the Humane Society to adopt a pet and one was named this. I don't like it at all.

This isn't just a spelling variant - it actually looks like it's pronounced differently (scar-LET vs. SCAR-lit). I don't like it at all. Either have it come from the surname (Scarlett) or the color (Scarlet).

It's pronounced the same way, I met the dog.

I hate it. For some reason, the superfluous “e” emphasizes the “scar-“ element and aids in coining a word: scarlet(te), a little scar (cf. eyelet, coverlet, etc.).

I love it, but spelled Scarlet. I think it's beautiful. It has an Old Hollywood feel that I really enjoy.

Neither do I, it looks like it really wants to be French.

I don't even like Scarlett, and putting that -e on makes a bad thing worse.
Perhaps it might encourage people to use Letty as a nn; which would be an improvement.

I love Scarlett, but not Scarlette, because the added E makes me want to put the stress on the second syllable rather than the first.
