Seraphina

I love Seraphina. It's Ancient Roman, strong, and elaborate, which are my favourite qualities in a name. The meaning is fantastic and angelic associations are fantastic too.

I know a woman named Saraphine.
I think it's pretty and likely to get more popular in the near future and would guess it's used by people who like Aurora, Josephine and/or Sarah.
Seraphina Christobel
Seraphina Mathilde
Seraphina Corisande
Seraphina Nimue
Seraphina Rusalka
I think I like it with names that sound kind of medieval to me or associated with water.

"I read about seraphims some time ago and they seem to suffering (burning all the time or something, I don't remember exactly)"
I almost choked on my tea. The seraphim is described as fiery creature. Some people take this to mean they have fire abilities almost like an elemental and others view them to be more figuritively fiery as in zealous or passionate. There is a point where one picks up a coal and is totally unfased, which is one of the reasons some people depict them as having fire powers or immunity toward the elements. No where have I read about them being in pain due to fire; they are supposed to live in heaven.
What I found odd about them is their six wings, which they sometimes wrap around themselves.
"Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly." ~ Isaiah 6:2

In English I wouldn't consider Seraphine to be a spelling of Seraphina because the e wouldn't make a schwa, it just turns the "ine" into one syllable. I still like both though. It feels similar to Sapphira.

I've grown to really like it too. Seraphina has a mixture of elegance and power that is very alluring. The "fiery" meaning is awesome. Seraphine sounds clipped to me, so I don't care for it as much.
