I don’t like the sound of it, at all. Plus, when I see it, I automatically think of cantaloupe.

I like it a lot, but...I mainly think of folk art when I hear it and would feel like a poser using it. I think it's too obviously religious to use, without feeling a deep connection.But on the other hand, it's just another place name. I like calling people by it.

The word "gua" meant gold or holy or good in the Caribbean Taíno language. You'll see those three letters a lot in Caribbean place names. I think Guadalupe is a lucky name.
