It's not a very nice choice for a name. That "ation" ending is very off-putting as a name, making it much less like a flower and more like a process like elevation or medication or correlation. I sure wouldn't like it as my name.
For that matter I think it's not a real attractive name for a flower. I know it is supposed to be a reference to flesh, carne, the pinkish color of flesh and the flower, but even that isn't attractive.
There's a Spanish name, Encarnacion, but it's not really related to the flower at all, it's a religious/Catholic name, "incarnation" meaning "becoming real" or "being made flesh."
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!
