Coming from the prospective of having it as a name on it's own, I like it as a nn better. You've got more options that way when you're older. Hope that helps :-)

The forename part of my pseudonym is Carrie-Anne, so I'm biased. I really like the name, and how it means "valourous" (i.e., brave).

Carrie was a name I really liked when I was a kid. Then, I didn't like names the same way I like them now -- I didn't have reasons or ideas about them; I just picked them. It's not on my list now, because my tastes have changed to be a bit more fanciful.

I don't like the name as a full name or nn for anything. I've never really liked it but now I don't even more because of John Kerry.

I don't like Caroline/Carolina but I do know two girls names Carolyn and Carinna with the nn Carrie.
