Emblyn
This name is Cornish and I recently heard of it. I love how modern it sounds without actually being so and how it sounds like Emblem, I think that is fine. The name is also Medieval English, https://www.behindthename.com/name/emblyn/submitted.
What do you think of Emblyn for a girl?
I just realized how much it reminds me of my sisters name, Amber Lynn.
For you and I
We fall apart to find the truth is our love survives
When every missing part of you makes me wanna cry
For you and I

It reminds me too much of the healthcare provider, EmblemHealth. Though truth be told, I still wouldn't care for it even without the association. Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue too smoothly. Ember sounds nicer and that's saying something. /:
I think if Em- names and -lyn names hadn’t been nauseatingly popular for so long I might like it more, but from my current perspective it just seems like a combination of trendy elements. I usually appreciate Welsh names like this even if I don’t necessarily like them (Carys, Arwyn) but this one is difficult.
It also sounds like Amber Tamblyn’s name all mushed up

It's one of those names that, even though it is an actual ancient Celtic/Welsh name, it doesn't look like it. I don't think it's nice. It does sound like a kid's misponunciation of emblem, and it looks like a modern mashup name like Emberlyn or Amberlee.
too close to Emblem, prefer Emlyn
Despite its history, it sounds awfully modern to me, and the "bl" sound is particularly unpleasant.
Unfortunately it comes across more as a combination of trendy elements or a strange degredation of emblem than as anything with actual history, whatever the truth may be. Therefore it strikes a sour note with me.
