I kinda like it. I'd want to see it as a middle name with a fancy or fantastical first name.

I don't think of it as particularly ugly but I guess I see how you could see it that way. I think of it as kind of romantic and vintage.

Lorna Doone popped into my head as soon as I saw your post. Although Lorne is masculine, it still holds a romantic historical feel with a sense of wildness too it.

I think some people would want to pronounce the "e," which could create pronunciation issues, but I like it otherwise.
