Sequoia

It's alright, although does seem to be a bit "out there" as it's definitely more of an unusual choice. That being said, I wish that I could like it more but unfortunately I have a negative association attached to it. I actually knew a girl from school named this and as you could probably guess, I wasn't a fan of hers. (And for a good reason) I litterally CANNOT seperate the name from her. She's likely the only 'Sequoia' I will ever have come across.

The original meaning bothers me enough that I wouldn't use it but not so much that I dislike it for other people.
I tend not to like two plant names in one combo, and I don't really think it makes sense with most animal names or landscape type words, so that doesn't leave much...
Sequoia Evening
Sequoia Echo ...I don't usually like Echo, but I think it'd work pretty well with Sequoia.
Sequoia Dream
Sequoia Reverie
Sequoia Patience
Sequoia Gale
Sequoia Nimbus
Sequoia Misty
Sequoia June
Sequoia December
Sequoia Rainbow
Sequoia Loveday
Sequoia Viridian
Sequoia Blessing
Sequoia Prosper
Sequoia Liberty
Sequoia West
Sequoia Raven
I'd pick Sequoia Patience for a girl, or Sequoia Prosper as unisex, if those count as nature names; if not, then maybe Sequoia Raven for a girl and Sequoia Gale for a boy.
Or Quanah Sequoia, unisex (I know a female Quana), could be an option.

Jade or pearl were the first two MN to come to mind
I personally don't like it. I think of Giant Sequoia (plant) which is endangered and I don't think you want that associated with your child's name... given that anyone else knows what I'm talking about...
BUT if you like it that much.... how about Sequoia Lake or Sequoia Sage..
