Name on a BA - Over the top?
I saw this name on the local BAs this morning: Melissa Venus Aphrodite WDYT? I think Melissa is fine, but Venus AND Aphrodite as middle names? Wasn't one name of an ancient love goddess enough? As much as I love mythology, I personally find both Venus and Aphrodite a *tad* prentious (because the names are so heavily associated with their mythological namesakes that they're not easy to carry - unless you're Venus Williams), but using both Venus and Aphrodite in one name is almost ridicilous. So, I think it's tacky and repeative. It's like calling someone Cinderella Snow White Rapunzel, or Cleopatra Nefertiti Hatshepsut.

They're two names for the same exact person. It's too much. I don't mind one or the other, but this is redundant.

I agree, it's too much.

I agree.Too much. Maybe they should have saved Aphrodite for another child. I know a little two year old named Nefertari and even that alone is a mouthful.

I dont like any of the names. I REALLY like Persephone and Athena, but those are more normal sounding than Aphrodite.I would only use Persephone as a first name though.
