Tahnee
WDYT of Tahnee? I actually like the sound and how the spelling differentiates it from the word 'tawny'.
Also what about a similar name Taranee?

There was a poster here once who was named Tawnee. Not a fan of the name, regardless of spelling.
Tawny is cute. It isn't a name that I would use, but I like it. Tawny sounds like a fairy in a children's book or a cute anthropomorphic animal.
The spelling Tahnee looks like it would be pronounced differently with more stress on "ah." I'm not sure that I understand wanting to name your child tawny but simultaneously wanting it to look as different as possible. Why not use a different name?
Taranee makes me think of tranny.

In my case, although I doubt I'd ever use it, I like the sound but not the word. Tawny is alright but I don't like the association.
It's one of those names that I might wonder what it's trying to be - it's not just an alternative spelling of a name, it's a misspelling of a word. Usually when people use word names, I assume they want the connection to the word, but then it's drastically misspelled, which distances it from the word...? It's nonsensical to me.
Tahnee could be a heavily accented version of Tiny or babyspeak for Tanya, for all I know. The sound is fine, but that doesn't mean much to me by itself.
Taranee reminds me of 'tyranny', so I don't like it much, but it seems more namey than Tahnee, probably because I'm familiar with Tara, Taryn, Rani.

I know that it's a "real name", but it looks like someone wanted to name their daughter Tawny and didn't know how to spell it.
Taranee looks strange. I can't find much about it online other than some comic called W.I.T.C.H. Does anyone know if it was created for that comic? I prefer the similar Tierney.

Sounds extremely silly and made-up, and I wouldn't pronounce it the same way as Tawny anyway. Taranee doesn't even look like a name.
I prefer Tawny but... I see the appeal of the "ee" bit just not the "ah" bit lol. I keep feeling like it's pronounced more AAH rather than AWW.
Taranee is cool. WITCH association obvi. Idk if it's related but it makes me think of Taranis. I think there would be some confusion over pronunciation but that is inevitable with any relatively obscure name.

Tahnee is ok, Taranee, I don't like.
