Re: Italian names, WDYTO them?

None of these are my favorites except Martina and Sonia.
I like these pretty well: Ilenia, Cristiano, Nicoletta, Stefano, Giuliano, Federico, Gaia
Rita and Norma seem unfashionable or "old" to me, so do Fabio and Carlo.
Carlo is still likeable but Fabio makes me think of Fabio Lanzoni - it sounds a little like "fabulous" in English, just enough that (combined with Lanzoni's image) I get an impression of overbearing vanity.
Carmine sounds good in Italian but I think it is totally dorky in English.
I like the last half of Armida, but the first half (the "arm" part) sounds harsh to me.
I like Cheryl (as a "retro" name - maybe not for babies) but not the Sh- spelling of it.
