Hestia
Last night I dreamed that I had a daughter named Hestia. It’s such an unusual name and it makes me wonder why I dreamed of it.
What do you think of the name Hestia?

I love the name Hestia. And the goddess.

I like it, it sounds very warm.

Better than Vesta! But I can only hope your dreaming self was aiming for Hester and missed. Not that I like Hester - too hissy, I prefer Esther - but it would be nicer.

I prefer Vesta, it sounds younger. Hestia is kinda dusty and witchy, copper pots and un-varnished wood. That is an interesting one to dream about.

It makes me wonder if there is meaning in the dream, in the name? Because how often do we dream about names?

I understand that! :)

I find it clunky. It's also a bra brand. I much prefer something like Esther.

I kinda like it as a name, but I like the image it gives me more. With the meaning behind it, it makes me feel Hestia would be a wonderful person who loves inviting people in for a cup of tea. Her living room is warm and cozy and she volunteers for the elderly

I adore it! Such a sibilant beauty.

I like it! Maybe it could be interpreted to have bad connotations, like the association with housewives could make it seem like you're giving your kid an underambitious name, but the whole "hearth" thing means a lot more than that so I don't think that one interpretation is inevitable.

I think it’s beautiful and I’m surprised it doesn’t get more use.
