I like it. For me, it feels more classic, rather than dated, because the sun coming up each morning feels timeless/eternal, astrophysics aside.

Dated and boring, I prefer Zora.

It's very dated where I live. I like it in theory because of the meaning, but for some reason, unlike other dated names like Tiffany and Whitney, it lacks a certain charm. That might be because Tiffany and Whitney are not common mother names where I am... I've literally not heard of them outside of the singers associated, unlike Dawn

The imagery is very pretty and the sound is soft. The only thing that throws me off is that it sounds identical to the man's name "Don" when you say it out loud.

I don't pronounce Don and Dawn identically. It depends on one's accent. In my accent, Don rhymes with "con" and Dawn rhymes with "pawn".

Lol in my accent con and pawn also rhyme.

Lol it occurred to me that that might be the case. Guess you'll have to take my word for it.

I love the name Dawn and only knew one growing up. If I had twins I would consider Dawn and Aurora or Dawn and Eve

Very, very dated where I live, and I don't enjoy it anyway. A friend's mother is Dawn, and she hates it - says it's "so sentimental', which I agree with. But, I really like Eve a lot, so nothing proves anything.

It’s nice as a middle name.

I think it's a beautiful name, one I wouldn't have minded having myself.

I like Dawn quite a bit. I think its similarity to Donna, though, has caused others to perceive it as "dated" (though its popularity did spike in the 70s). Nowadays Aurora, with the same meaning, is far more popular, though that name always makes my tongue trip over itself (the only consonant is an R, and I have to concentrate in order not to say the "rora" part like "roar").

Stuck in the 1970s. I love many 70s names but Dawn isn’t one of them. To me it’s plain. I’d prefer Dawson or Sunrise or even Dusk.
