Sarah Palin's daughter Willow (Bianca Faye) Palin and her husband welcomed twin girls named Banks and Blaise.

Hey this is my daughter Banks
I've known a boy named Parks and a girl named Chambers. Still absurd

I don’t mind Blaise for a boy, but Banks is terrible on either.
Well, they sound like Palins.
Banks is a surname, and I don't like the sound or meaning of Blaise.
Hideous! I saw the photo of these two tiny, precious little girls, only to read their names and I was horrified! How can you look at two gorgeous little newborn girls and give them such harsh, masculine sounding names? I can’t fathom the appeal of such names at all.
Blaise is no. Banks is hell no. Both sound horrible as first names :(
Willow and Rick seem to have wanted one syllable gender neutral names for their twins, but there are way better options than the ones they chose. Banks is particularly bad.
Birch & Blythe would have fit their specifications and sounds less like a burning bank.
What one syllable gender neutral names starting with B would you have suggested to the couple if they’d asked?

How about Brick and Broth
Broom and Budge.
Brush and Box
Brick and Blow
Broke and Back
They might just be dumb enough to seriously consider them.

Oh we both suggested Brick. That must mean something.
Broke is pretty name-y. Banks and Broke. haha

or, the ultimate ...
Boom and Bust.
Boom and Bust.
Birch & Blythe definitely would have been better.
If I had to name their kids with one-syllable non-feminine names starting with b (I think their style isn't to use non-gender-specific names, it's to give girls names that aren't perceived as feminine):
Bryce and Blair.
I'd say Brook, but I think of it as feminine so I'm not counting it. Blair is borderline... might be too feminine for them.
In that case Bryce and Brett. But that's two BR. I might have to stick them with Blaise.
But I'm not even close to naming their kid Banks. That is just so bad.

It doesn't even seem to be a pattern the whole family follows. I mean, there's Willow, for one.
And the oldest son has a daughter named Kyla.
And the oldest son has a daughter named Kyla.
Yuck. Typical Palin names. Banks is especially ugly. Their last name is Bailey, so Banks and Blaise Bailey sound even more ridiculous. Reminds me of a local jewelry store called Bailey Banks and Biddle.
Very unattractive names that would work better for boys.
The name choices leaves me wondering ALOT of things. I mean the names alone are downright silly and together in a set, it makes me think of a bank that caught on fire...
Though I guess it COULD be worse. At least Blaise isn't spelled like the word.

Barf.
I could get behind Banks, but I feel like if your family has connections to politics… Banks is not very subtle. Might remind people of political bribes or corporations.
Blaise I don't really like. It's just a fancy way of spelling Blaze, which sounds like a name for a dog or a cartoon character.

Ye banks and braes
That's what it reminds me of.. the old folk tune..
I cannot fathom the appeal of Banks or Blaise on a girl at all.

That's what I thought too!
Blanks sounds like a child's name for a blanket.

Banks and Blaise for girls??? They flow well with their cousins and relatives but they are horrible names!
Willow Bianca Faye is way the best name here. I also like Piper, Todd and Levi.

oh, goodness, what went wrong with the naming sense of this family. Banks especially is ugly as all get-out and not remotely feminine.
