I really love the name Poppy. I don't find it to be a "cutsy" name at all, probably because I'm immediately reminded of Georgia O'Keefe's "Red Poppy" when I think of it (gorgeous painting by the way).I really like Poppy Madeleine.

Poppy Elizabeth
Poppy Imogen
Poppy Isabel
Poppy Matilda
Poppy RebeccaAs for sibsets I like Milo, Jasper and Felix

I like Poppy in theory. I think it's fun and upbeat not to mention I think poppies are beautiful. In reality I don't think I could ever use it. Poppy also makes me think opium, and I think it lacks the substance I would want my daughter's name to have. Though I wouldn't mind a Paulina who somehow gained the nn Poppy.

I'm not a fan of Poppy. For starters it reminds me of "poop", urgh. Then it just sounds cutesy and childish to me, and in Britain, it's very trendy with celebrity parents. Nmsaa._____________________________________________________________________Elinor

I really like this name, it's lovely. I've seen it on adults, such as Aussie actress Poppy Montgomery and Poppy King (I think that's her name!) the cosmetics lady and it works just fine, no worries.I like all the combos you had, with the exception of Poppy Eleanor. My fave combo would be either Poppy Evelyn or Poppy Madeleine. I like both and can't decide which I like better!Great sib sets, I love:Poppy & Milo
Poppy & Jasper
Poppy & FelixPoppy & Grace

I don't like it at all.It makes me think poopy. And of grandfathers. And it's just silly and childish sounds, especially on an adult. It's cute, but I think a name needs to be more than cute -- this isn't an easy one to take seriously on most people.

I think Poppy is really sweet for a little girl and could even work for a teenager, but I just can't seen it in an adult. Then again there are a lot of names that are popular for babies now that I can't imagine on an adult. I guess by the time all those babies are adults I will be used to the names.Anyway I think Poppy would be a great nn or pet name. By that I mean a pet name for a child not an animal :) You know, a term of affection not derived from the childs actually name. The only name I think of off the top of my had that you could use Poppy as a nn for is Penelope.I like that you have chosen traditional mns with Poppy. I like Poppy Eleanor and Poppy Madeleine. I think I would avoid Lilian because it contains the word Lily and Poppy Lily is just too many flowers.I think Milo, Jasper and Felix all go really well with Poppy. The girls names seem a little too traditional. Ruby is probably most similar in style but I don't like that they both end with Y. I like Poppy and Eleanor best I think. But you know little Eleanor might wish her name was more fun and cute like sister Poppy, and a grown-up Poppy might wish for a more serious, dignified name like sister Eleanor.

I think of poppy seads, which can be seen either as a sead on buns and bagels, or as a drug~~Kris~~

I adore Poppy. It's an uncommon flower name that doesn't get lost among the sea of others with flower names. It has a nice sound to it and poppies are quite a lovely flower to be named after. :) I would totally use it.Of your combos, Poppy Eleanor and Poppy Madeleine are excellent! I like Evelyn Poppy (and Amelia Poppy) if you wanted to use Poppy as a middle name.Of the sibsets, all the boy combos except for Poppy and Remus sound great. Remus and Poppy clash to me because Poppy is classic-chic while Remus is a more eccentric, off-beat choice.Of the girls, Poppy and Grace and Poppy and Eleanor are nice choices. Also, how about Poppy and Sebastian, Poppy and Abraham, Poppy and Silas, Poppy and Charity, Poppy and Louisa, Poppy and Clementine, Poppy and Helena?
