It’s one of those widely-used classics that has somehow maintained its high-class feel, sort of like Elizabeth. So I’d say it rides the line between your two descriptions, actually. Usually when names get used a lot their shine dulls and they travel downward through the socioeconomic classes until people get tired of them and move on. But for some reason it still feels fresh.I love it and it’s in our top two if we ever have another girl. It helps that it’s a family name for me. I like Sandy, Andy and Andra as nns. Alex is a little tired and Lexi sounds low class to my ear.
