It's very beautiful. It's soft, feminine, sounds classic yet also modern and "fresh" I much, MUCH prefer it over 'Melody'
I think it is very pretty and should be used more.
It’s quite nice, I like it. I wouldn’t use it though.
Waaaay better than the now common Melody.
It's cute and cheerful. I can definitely picture it on a little girl.
How is Elodie pronounced in American English, anyway?
If it's pronounced like Melody without the M, it doesn't seem very interesting to me. Also reminds me of Amelie ... which bugs me because it's French form, but not pronounced as French where I live - it's just pronounced like another echo of ultrapopular Emily. Kennedy, Everly, Cassidy, Avery... Elodie?
It's nice, I guess, it just doesn't appeal to me personally that much. I'd probably find Elodie likeable enough if I met one in real life.
I'm kinda turned off by the "low" / "load" / "owed" / "o.d." sound in Elodie. I doubt I'd notice it if it were someone's name though.

I pronounce Elodie as El-oe-dee with a long "o."
Very nice.
I think it sounds very charming and lively. It's one of my favourite French names.
Love it

Elodie is my nieces name and I love it. My brother in law is half French (his mum is French) and they wanted a French name for their first child that most people would be able to spell.
I think it’s a pretty french name
Edit: I didn’t mean to reply to someone oof
