The rhythm doesn't please me; I've got the same problem with Alexandra. I far prefer Magdalen.

It's my mother's name (pronounced the Polish way, mag-da-LE-na). I think it's beautiful, though I don't like the nicknames Magda or Madzia.

I recently discovered this name on this website and at first glance, I didn’t like it. I think it was the look of the name that made me dislike it because now I love it. I said it out loud and realised how pretty and elegant it sounded (except for when it’s shortened to Magda or Maggie). I might add it to my PNL.
