To me Audrey vs Audra is like Lauren vs Lara, or Jean vs Janine, or Elizabeth vs Beth.
I think Audrey is more tidy and serious and cute and traditional; Audra is more relaxed, outdoorsy or artsy, and also a teeny bit dated.
I associate Audrey with Hepburn and with my husband's 80 year old aunt who's a fun midwestern farm woman. I associate Audra with a really nice girl I knew in high school, who was into horses and country music.
I like both names a lot and would name a daughter either, but I'd slightly prefer Audra because I just like how it sounds more, it seems more relaxed to say.- mirfak
