Kathleen. I like the Irish feeling that it has, and there are good potential nicknames.
I'm not a huge fan of Michelle because it's been so overused, and besides, it's a female version of a male name. Also, I just don't tend to care for French names. They can come across as sort of a failed attempt to be fancy. Maybe it's just that they never sound nearly as good in English.

I like them both, especially for middle names. For first name, I think Michelle, it's a bit smoother to say and no risk of the Kathy/Katie nn.
I'd choose Kathleen over Katharine and all its variants; I'd choose Michele over Michelle. And I'd use Michele as a mn to honour two friends with that spelling, one English South African and one French.
Come to think of it, Kathleen and Justine are probably the only two-syllable -een/-ine names I like at all.

I like Justine, too.
