Tiara / Tiana

I'm with Theodora'sMommy and Raven Briar on Tiara. To me it sounds like the namer expected the girl to become a beauty pageant contestant. It has a pretty-princess vibe, sort of like a less extreme version of naming a girl Sparkle. I don't think I'd have quite the same reaction to Crown (though that doesn't sound particularly name-y). A tiara, in my mind, is more diminutive and frivolous than a crown.
Tiana is okay but sounds insubstantial to me. For what it's worth, though, I also think Lisa, Amy, Ella and Mia sound insubstantial, so it might just be me.

Tiana is at least a name, although I prefer it as a nickname. I love the Princess and the Frog character, but I don’t see this as a “princessy” name. A nickname on its own would probably never be allowed to be bestowed on a real baby princess. At least not one directly expected to ascend to the throne. I think William and Kate were encouraged to pick from a list of “acceptable” royal names, but Harry and Meghan were afforded more freedom.
A tiara is a symbolic accessory. It may be associated with princesses, but it’s like naming a girl Necklace or Scepter. She’s a person, not an object.
