I don’t think it boring but I am very used to it, so I may tend to overlook it when I’m playing with names. I think it’s very versatile and I would enjoy a young bearer. Just took a look at an old list wherein I had fun with some GP middle names. I think Eleanor can handle that sort of thing well. :)

It's objectively fine, but I'm so bored by it. Plus Ellie is the 'Katie' of this generation.

I love it, and it's my top girl name at the moment, despite its rising popularity. I much prefer Eleanor over Leonor or Elinor.

Both Eleanor and Leonor(e) are absolutely lovely! Eleanor was my maternal grandma’s name, and I always thought it was so elegant.

I like both the Eleanor and the Elinor spelling, but I hate the Eleonor one some people use. It always looks wrong.

Eleanor is a lovely name, strong, feminine, and classic. It sounds mature to me, but the nicknames Nell and Ellie make it more approachable. It's very common now, but I don't think it's as boring as say, Olivia. Leonor is nice too, and gives the opportunity of the nickname Leo. I prefer Eleanor to both Leonor and Elinor.

I would use Eleanor - and I would use it - rather than Elinor, simply because it's everyone's first guess and would therefore save a lifetime of explanations. But I like them both very much, and don't think a nn is needed at all.

I had an aunt on one side of my family and a great-aunt on the other, both known as Nellie, and as a child I just assumed that they were Eleanor or Helen. They weren't. Each of them had Nellie as her full and only fn. Which I still find sad.

I absolutely adore Eleanor. It's one of my top choices if I have a girl next.

I don't care for Leonor as much. It feels less elegant.

I love it on paper, with the O pronounced as an actual O. In real life it often turns into a schwa which I don't like at all.

I don't think it's boring. I like all 3-- Eleanor, Leonor, and Elinor (and also Elanor, Lenore, Lenora, Leonora, etc). I think Eleanor and Leonor have a similar elegant vibe, but Leonor is a bit more magical and less likely to sound potentially dated. Elinor (and Elanor) are very similar but they look just a little bit more youthful.

Eleanor is beautiful at one time it was my favorite girls' name. I still really like it, but I encountered an accent that pronounces the "or" as "er," which made more hesitant.
